Variant: Parosteal / Periosteal Lipoma
Diagnostic Criteria
- Lipoma involving the periosteum
- Mature fat with no cytologic atypia
- Frequently exhibits metaplastic cartilage or bone
Supplemental Studies
- One cytogenetic study has shown findings consistent with ordinary lipoma
