Lipoma
Variant: Fibrolipoma
Diagnostic Criteria
- Lipoma with focally increased fibrous tissue
- Must not contain atypical cells
- Pattern may be seen in lipomas involving nerve, see fibrolipomatous hamartoma of nerve
Differential Diagnosis
- Atypical lipomatous tumor is frequently composed of mature adipose tissue with fibrous areas
- Atypical cells should be visible at low power
