Acute GI GVHD vs. Opportunistic Infection
- Consider infection in the setting of acute or chronic inflammation, neutrophilic crypt abscesses or ulceration
- Use immunohistology to identify CMV or Herpes
- Enteritis may also be nonspecific
- Infection may coexist with GVHD
