- These markers should be used with caution in the distinction from lung and other carcinomas
- CD5 stains about 15% of lung squamous carcinomas
- CD117 stains about 20% of lung squamous carcinomas
- Basaloid carcinoma is p63 positive and negative for synaptophysin and TTF1
